How to deal with Localization Overhead in zTranslate.ai?

The Localization team wants to avoid the constant overhead working with the various team players (Localization Project Manager, Localization Engineer, Localization QA), the external vendors (translators, linguistic testers, reviewers), and the management (product manager, director) dealing with the different activities demanded by each for every supported locale.

Streamline and Simplify Localization Lifecycle Tasks:
1. Communication with team players to initiate a Localization release
2. Processing localizable resources multiple times for a release
3. Working with QA to locate and create context screenshots
4. Tracking translation and review activity
5. Exchange emails with vendors to process translations process translations
6. Answering contextual queries for translations, reviews, and linguistic testing
7. Repeat the same with multiple parties for multiple languages
8. Validate status and count of strings that have been translated and reviewed
9. Save incremental work to support future projects
10. UX Review For Product Messaging Consistency

How can the Product team manage the UX Review of their core product?
Product owner wants to:
  • Clean up the content in the product to correct any errors
  • Align it with company's voice/tone guidelines
  • Achieve better consistency and professionalism in messaging
  • Validating any copy or messaging moving forward

PMs worry about the translation quality when engaging with a new translator or to have a customer approve of the translations, and need linguistic testing and linguistic review of all the app pages without having to train those people with the app and the entire test suite, and send both the English and Localized screenshots via a language-specific project to the appropriate customer, and linguistic reviewer/tester.
  • QA Engineer can execute the entire app test suite, use the Context Kit Creator to take screenshots highlighting the strings on all pages

Translators skip translating due to missing context, L10N engineer can search for the string on Linguistic page, and send the corresponding en and localized screenshots
We see that the string "Used By" is not translated in French, German and Portuguese in many instances. One such example is given below.
EN: Used By Export in Field Management, FR: Exportation "Used By' dans la gestion des champs, DE: Used By'-Export in Feldmanagement

Translators multi translating due to same string in different contexts or diff translators, L10N engineer can search for the string on Linguistic page, and send the corresponding en and localized screenshots
We see that the string "IP Allowlisting for API Access" has 2 different translations in French language. Which one should be taken into account?
Instance 1- Autorisation d'adresses IP pour l'accés à l'API Instance 2- Liste d'autorisation d'IP pour l'accès à l'API

Product Managers need to address a terminology change such as the recent Black Lives Matter campaign to create an Inclusive Terminology. PMs can search for all instances of all terms they wish to replace by Reviewing Strings in the app's English project, and apply the new term
Instances of strings to search and change: Whitelist/Blacklist, Master/Slave L10N engineer can then: a) export the TM to apply back to English resources b) create localized projects to send to translators

Translators and Reviewers prefer using their favorite tool, such as Trados, to manage their translation memory, edit, and apply their translations
PM or L10N Engineer creates the project, Imports their Resources, Imports their TM to leverage, then Assign to Translator or Reviewer
Linguist will Download Resource Kit, Import it into their favorite tool to translate and fix, and Import the Resource Kit to apply their changes

QA needs to provide product context to Linguists, but do not want to regenerate all screenshots for every release
PM or L10N Engineer creates the project, Imports their Resources, Imports their TM to leverage, then Assign to Translator or Reviewer
QA Engineer creates project, Imports Resources, Imports TM to leverage, Import their saved Context zip for all langs, and finally Saves the Context to the Product Assets
Linguist will Download Resource Kit, Import it into their favorite tool to translate and fix, and Import the Resource Kit to apply their changes

QA reports and Dev Engineers or functional QA team need to know where in the Ul it was seen => they can use the string search provided on Screenshot Context browser
